serving NYC, NJ and beyond
I’ve always been someone who pays attention before speaking. Who doesn’t need to be the loudest voice in the room. And for a long time, I thought that meant I was meant to stay in the background. That I needed to be bolder or louder in order to make an impact.
Now I know those are the exact qualities that shape how I show up for people on days that matter most. I’m Ava, and as a photographer, I’m drawn to weddings that feel intentional, not performative. To people who care deeply, but don’t need to prove it.
And if that sounds like you, we’ll be a great match.
The moments that stay with us ARE the ones we’re fully present for.
On your wedding day, I don’t walk in with a checklist of poses. I get you moving, talking and interacting. I’m always watching for the moments where everything feels real instead of "perfectly arranged".
That’s how we end up with photos people don’t just like — they love them, they save them, share them, and keep coming back to them.

My favorite couples are the ones who are excited about their wedding day… and also a little nervous about being in front of the camera.
Most clients tell me the same thing: “We’re not models. We don’t know what to do or how to pose in front of the camera.” And that’s okay — you don’t need to.
My job is to make your entire experience feel easy, natural, and relaxing — while capturing photos that make you look back and think "I can't believe we look so natural."
I’m calm, gently directive, and always paying attention to how things feel in the room. I’ll guide you when you need it, and quietly capture the moments that are already perfect.
I care about how your day feels — because the best photos happen when you’re present, and not worrying about whether you’re doing things “right.”
You just get to be there, with the people you love — and trust that I’m capturing the memories in real time.
I genuinely care about making others feel comfortable and at ease.
I started my business while I was still in college, photographing anything and everything I could — and slowly realizing this might turn into something more than a hobby.
I took the leap and went full-time as a wedding photographer. It was equal parts terrifying, freeing, and hands down, the best decision I ever made.
I moved from New Jersey to New York City and fell in love with the energy, the walking, and the way the city never really sleeps. Except now I'm always in bed before 9pm.
I learned how to knit, baked more than any one person needs to, and rewatched all ten seasons of Friends like it was my only job (because it kinda was -- iykyk).
It was a busy travel year! I photographed more than 10 destination weddings and I still sometimes have to pinch myself that this is my real life.
You can still find me chasing good light, capturing meaningful stories, and obsessing over all of my clients and couples. And (still) re-watching my favorite Friends episodes.
My promise is that you won’t spend your wedding day worrying about what’s next on the timeline. I’ll help you slow down, breathe, laugh, and actually be where you are — not stressing about where you’re supposed to be. I’ll make sure you don’t miss the quiet moments or rush past the good ones.
I’ll be there for the tears, the hugs, and the absolutely unhinged dance floor energy — the moments you’ll want to relive exactly as they happened. And I’ll always encourage you to take the extra five minutes to step away. To watch the sunset together. To let it sink in that you’re married — and give yourselves space to actually feel it.
Laying in the sun, eyes closed, getting lost in the thoughts of my FUTURE travel plans.
Quiet places that make you breathe a little deeper and put your phone on silent.
Slow mornings, good light, the daily wordle and the perfect latte.
